Below are frequently asked questions that may help you
No – my stock is purely sold online.
As this is a way for me to sell items created from my part time craft, there is no formal store updates. If you would like to stay in the loop, be sure to check my Instagram regularly or subscribe to my newsletter.
“Superwash wool is a wool yarn that is machine washable and, therefore, will not felt. Each hair of wool is made up of scales. Felting occurs when these scales bind together. The superwash process prevents the scales from binding in one of two ways. Some superwash wools are given an acid bath that removes its scales” – via this link
“Yarns in this list do not contain any superwash fibers. They differ from the ‘Felting’ category only in that all non-SW yarn is not necessarily a candidate for felting. Many experienced garment knitters prefer a non-superwash yarn in their sweaters, vests, hats. They are warmer than superwash yarns as they have not had any of the protective cells surrounding the fiber core stripped away. The fibers rub against each other and attach ever so slightly in what is known as a fulling effect..” – via this link
Due to the nature of handspun and my process, colourways will never be truly replicated. It might be an inspired colourway, but will never be the same. Make sure you buy enough yarn to complete your project and avoid disappointment.
It depends on the issue and discretion will lie with me on this one.
If the yarn is unopened, unused and within 3 days of purchase – returns could be accommodated with shipping at the buyers expense.
The nature of handspun is that the yarn isn’t always the very same weight, it’s got bumps and uneven curls in it. – This is not a reason for returns.
If not properly treating it while cleaning it may felt, will unfortunately not be reasons for returns either.
If the colour is not a representation of the website, please note that monitors, cellphone screens and any other device – as much as we possibly can try, our screens and monitors will never be as good at colour indication as our eyes. (Remember the blue and black, white and gold dress thing? – yes. that) – There might be slight differences in the colours you receive due to monitor calibrations. – This disclaimer you will be able to find on every online yarn shop if you look hard enough.
If you feel that you are unhappy with your yarn due to incorrect orders or reasonable issues, reach out to me and we can discuss. – I want both of us happy.
